Bio: It’s hard to be a momma’s boy when your mother no longer wants you; this was the dilemma that Anthony faced at quite the young age. For as long as he could remember, he had been practically the only boy in the family, left home every day with his mother and three sisters. Most thought there was no hope for him to ever be masculine in any way, shape, or form, and no matter how hard he tried to prove everyone wrong, he always failed. As the police chief’s son, there were high expectations for him and what he would do. Chief Barton on the other hand, knew very well that Anthony would never live up to the family legacy, and that he would never make him as proud as he wished he could be of his son. When he was younger, he was forced into playing with barbies for a majority of the time. The other half of his time he spent attempting sports with his second sister, but she was always better and made him feel worse than when they had started. His parents watched him curiously, wondering when he would ever find his place, if he had one.
When Anthony was 12, his mother sat him down and told him that they needed to talk. Of course in his mind, this was going to be the stereotypical sex talk that most guys got from their fathers, but Anthony had to face the fact that he never got anything from his father, he was too involved in his sisters and his job to care about his disappointment. Turns out that he had let her down too, but this time it wasn’t only him to blame. She told him she was leaving, she couldn’t handle this life of raising four kids with no help from her husband. She offered him something he had never even thought of himself. For the longest time Anthony accepted that he had to make his own happiness as well as he could, and that he just had to keep his head held high and take whatever his insane life threw at him. Never had it dawned on him that he could run away. Even so, a deep feeling of dread built in him as he quickly thought over what would happen to his sisters if he left. He knew he couldn’t do it, he couldn’t bring himself to take yet another person away. They were all closer than anyone ever knew, relying on each other for support and a smile when they were sad. He reluctantly turned his mother down, slinking back to his room to avoid watching her throw her luggage into the back of the car and trying to block out the sound of the engine roaring to life. Since that day he hasn’t seen his mother, he speaks with her sometimes, but only in secret.
To the rest of the family, Anthony had to act as if he had no idea in the world where their mother had gone. It killed him even more to see his youngest sister cry over her leaving without saying goodbye, it destroyed him to think that she’d wasted that goodbye on him when he was hardly deserving. His eldest sister fell into silence, not speaking often unless spoken directly too, or her family was needing defense. His best friend, his last sister of the three, was hit harder by the loss than she let on, only venting her true feelings to him. All the while, their father acted as if nothing was different, going on with his life like he didn’t miss her at all and for all they knew he really didn’t care.
Anthony took over taking care of his family, despite the fact that he was the second to youngest in the family. He mentally matured faster than he wished he had. He didn’t want to understand why his mother left, and he didn’t want people to have even more expectations for him now that he was older. Expectations meant let downs, and let downs meant losing people. His solution to this issue of his, was to act just as immature as he’d previously been. It worked for him, it was who he was and no one would really know how to handle him if he didn’t act like his goofy self. No one knew Anthony to be a serious person and that was one expectation he actually lived up to.
He was never good enough for anyone but his sisters and a few of his friends who accepted who he really was. He had the best intentions in everything, and went for it with determination. He never expressed how many times he failed, only how many times he had tried. When people put him down, he shrugged it off and replied with his own witty crack at himself. Sarcasm became his best friend in highschool, it was the only way he could insult people without feeling bad about it. His outgoing personality, never ending optimism and interesting sense of humor kept him known in school, but not so popular that he felt uncomfortably overwhelmed with attention. He picked up a job at his dad’s station to bring in more money for the family, and no matter how much he hated training the police dogs, he did his best not to complain. He wanted to be everything that his father wished he was, but he had learned after his mother left that sometimes life isn’t about pleasing other’s, but about pleasing yourself. He hates expectations all the same, because they’re what tore his family apart.
What he wants: Anthony wants someone that has absolutely no idea who he is. He wants to stumble upon a complete stranger that he can make a first impression on, and that won’t know him from his family’s story that circulates through the town on a daily basis. He wants someone that won’t have any expectations for him, other than to make them happy. He wants someone who’s going to make him feel needed, but not like needs to change his entire personality in order to please them.
What he needs: He needs clarification from his father, and to know what he truly thinks instead of living in this giant question. He needs someone a lot like the person he wants, but he also needs someone that’s going to push him to follow the path he wants to rather than dwell on wishing he could be successful in what others want of him. He needs someone who can be there for him when he needs to talk about his past, and someone who he can trust enough to tell everything and anything to. He needs someone who isn’t too serious, because if he can’t take himself serious, it’s doubtful he’ll take anyone else serious.

Relationship Status: Single
TiMER Status: Matched
Sexuality*: Openly Bisexual
Bio: Growing up in New York City should be every girls dream; from the bright lights, to the fashion, to the various possibilities. That was exactly what Anna was as she went through the trials an tribulations of growing up, the dream girl. Constantly running around, greeting people as she went, she was often an easy person to get along with, the most popular girl on the playground as she would later find herself. She was always the bolder one compared to her younger sister, who often lurked in her shadows, hands gripping tight on her hand as she dragged her places. Something about Anna just drew people in, in contrast to the wary expressions people got around her younger sister, maybe it was her toothy grin or rosy cheeks that made her loved, even allowing her to occasionally get away with only a small scolding when a cookie went missing from the cookie jar.
The signature, large smile was always on her face seemed to be one of her greatest attributes, a couple of words paired along with it always seeming to help her get what she needed… Or wanted. It also helped in another area, as she entered beauty pageants at a young age, her mother claiming she was the beauty of the two, or at least compared to her sister’s homely looks. For the next long years from five to twelve, she was doted on constantly, trophies filling the shelves of the small room she shared with her sister and replacing the story books they once held. As her collection grew, her ego did as well, convinced that she was the “prettiest, little lady around” as her makeup artist told her before each competition.
By her thirteenth year her days of being on top appeared to be over, as she was no longer the cute little girl that took home the crowns and made her Mama proud. It was her last competition, and she gave it her all, reluctantly prepared for it to end, to figuratively and literally take of her crown and rest her head. Little did she know at her national competition, there was a talent scout, a man looking for a pretty personality with an even prettier face to get a chance at the big times. For once, things turned to the best for Anna, as they always seemed to, and she was chosen to get a shot at the big times.
It started with small print modeling, things for clothing magazines where she wore the latest fashions and made little girls everywhere take money from their parents pocket books to be in style as well. Slowly her status in the modelling role rose, and with each advance her confidence grew. That all changed when she turned sixteen, being offered a chance on a runway was always a dream. There was one condition though, she had to lose ten pounds. Her agent told her in order to fit in she had to fit the part, and if that meant losing a few pounds, then so be it.
Having only two weeks to lose ten pounds was a hard feat to accomplish, so once again, Anna did what she could. with two hundred calorie meals a day, the weight started dropping off, and by the end of the two weeks, the results were amazing, and she was in the big leagues. She arrived with her head held high, confident in her appearance. This would all change when she saw the other girls in her first show. They were thinner, prettier, and better than anything that Anna could ever hope to be. She was given the ugliest dresses, the least recommendations and was endless on the bottom of the totem pole in her career. That is when she decided it was never enough.
Calories were almost completely cut from her diet, a protein bar once or twice a day along with a large bottle of water every hour seeming to be the only thing keeping her going. The weight dropped, and her career advanced, soon she was one of the most well known models in the industry, arms linked with designer on the final walk of every show. However, the more noticed she got by the world, the closer her family appeared to watch her and the more Anna didn’t notice. It wasn’t until the day the papers were signed that she realized her parents were getting a divorce, watching her father leave without another word.
Anna became convinced it was because she was not good enough, working harder than ever to drop the weight. A few months after the divorce and she was caught, her sister finally catching onto all of her poor habits. She begged her sister not to tell, and despite the fact that she promised, Amy still told their mother. Her mother was horrified that she had not noticed, and as if to reverse all of her previous choices, that she had to quit her dreams for the benefit of her health. Anna was furious, refusing to leave, having to be literally dragged out of her home. Her mother claimed they were moving somewhere that would be good for her, a small town called Greenville where her mother herself had grown up.
Anna was quick to become one of the most hated and popular girls at the school, her large, built up ego she showed off bringing her to be admired by the girls everyone loved to hate. She quickly rose on the social ladder and took her spot near the top. She found some sort of demented joy in making fun of the people who weren’t popular themselves, finally enjoying being able to pick on others without being picked on herself. There was one boy in particular that she found joy in messing with, an awkward boy by the name of Nicholas, who always seemed lost behind a book or a pair of large headphones.
She found some sort of joy in tripping him as he walked the narrow isles between the desks, or pushing him as he descended a flight of stairs. After a name called too many, her mother was once again called in for another set of bad habits. Here her mother found her old high school sweet heart, a spark rekindled that was thought to be lost long ago. In a matter of weeks, they were dating, a matter of months and they were to be wed.
After the wedding, Anna was horrified, watching her things be moved into the Akers’ household. Things were worse than ever, her and Nicholas constantly fighting, or more so Anna yelling while Nicholas turned up the Old Rock from his stereo.
In order to help the transition, their parents bought them TiMERs, hoping that it would give them something relate to. It did, but in the completely wrong way as both left the preparation room and their timers immediately went off… For each other. Anna was in shock, she had never imagined anything like this happening. She was just beginning to consider it when she overheard a conversation heading to the car.
"Out of both of the sisters, I had to get the one I would never want," she heard him mutter as he climbed into the van. Then, things changed, once again he was her main target. She refuses to love him, she refuses to let herself fall.
What She wants: What she wants? She wants to get that damn TiMER off of her wrist. She wants to pretend it never happened, and she wants to move on. She wants to find someone in her own social circle to love and will love her back, she doesn’t have time to be worrying about anything but herself.
What She needs: She needs someone to help her heal, to help her move on from the hard road of her past. She needs someone who can show her how to put the world on pause and learn to love. Whether or not she can do this though, well that is up to her.

"Do I have to spell it out for you or scream it in your face? Oh, the chemistry between us could destroy this place. Do I have to spell it out for you or whisper in your ear? Oh, just stop right there, I think that we’ve got something here."
Name: Nicholas Akers
Occupation: Student, Carpenter, Hardware Store worker
Hobbies: Drawing, carpenting, book club
Likes: Cats, wood, “Oldies” Rock
Dislikes: Soccer, Secrets, parties
Relationship Status: Single
TiMER Status: Matched
Sexuality*: Openly Straight
Bio: Nicholas Akers had never been the silent type growing up, a big smile on his face and big green eyes always full of life and excitement. He often found himself getting in trouble, as he ran off with his friends on their bikes to go flirt with the new girl down the street or sometimes even new waitresses that were far to old for him and his colleagues. Nicholas never let anything stop him though, he often claimed the world was a place for his taking, convinced one day he would be something great, a name that would go down in history.
Sadly, this fire began to dull slightly as his mother, the one who always defended him when his father called him childish or immature for his age, came ill. At first she brushed it off, assuring him and his father that it was just a cold and nothing to worry about. Never a family to really have any problems, they all went along with her brushing the idea of anything being wrong with the healthiest soccer mom in the town.
She still continued to do her normal routine, driving Nick to school and every soccer match he could bring his winning team to victory at. Sometimes during these moments Nicholas would notice her cough growing hoarser, though often ignoring it as his mother turned the “oldies,” or goodies as she often called it herself, station up, all worries left behind as Nick refocused on his hatred for the type of music.
It was a normal day when things really started getting worse. If he thinks back hard enough he can almost feel the irritation bubbling in his veins and feel the autumn breeze brushing the hair on the back of his neck. Soccer practice had ended almost an hour ago and he was the only straggler left behind, sitting on the front steps of the school like a lost puppy. He was going to have to have a talk with his mother about this, she couldn’t mess up like this all of the time, she should know that by now.
It was another thirty minutes passing when Nick finally started to walk home, with each step becoming madder and madder at his mother. When he finally walked the mere half a mile home he pulled open the surprisingly unlocked door. The air seemed cool and dry, hanging low into the air and itching slightly on his skin.
He marched to the kitchen, where he heard the dishwasher running, prepared to give his mom a piece of his mind, when he found her lying limp on the floor. He immediately knelt down, shaking her, trying to wake her up. He didn’t know what to do, didn’t know if she was alive or anywhere near death. So he did what he could, called his dad.
His mother was diagnosed with a slowly spreading brain cancer, that was caught too late to stop. At the time, Nicholas didn’t full grasp this concept thinking that she was going to get better over time. As his mother got worse, he did too, leaving his activities behind to stay with his mother whenever he could. He stopped spending time with his peers and eventually only had time for his mother and nothing else.
Only a year later his mother passed away, and in a way, a part of him did as well. He was no longer the Nicholas Akers people knew and loved, he was just Nicholas, and empty shell filled with an empty soul.
In most cases people heal overtime and while that was not true for himself, it seemed to be true for his father who would marry long after. Along with his new “mother” came two stepsisters. One who was bearable, and one who seemed to want to make his life a living hell.
He continued his days becoming, somehow, even more introverted, his love for his work becoming the only love he had left to give. Anna often joked about this and would make snide comments, or trip in the hall, all the while not knowing his whole story. For some reason though, this made him like her even more. He was glad someone wasn’t babying him for once and with her he got the chance to be the old him.
Janet, as he would come to refer to his step mother as, suggested he and Anna get TiMER’s, and the it would be a good change and maybe a step forward in his “situation.” Nick reluctantly agreed, receiving his timer which surprisingly read one minute. Whoever he was to be matched with was right outside that door. And to his dismay, yet excitement, that person would be the very person he never wanted it to be.
Him and Anna agreed never to speak of it, though sometimes their constant bickering and longing stares say otherwise. They speak of it more between their eyes than they do between spoken word. Now the only question is, what’s wrong with love?
What He wants: Nicholas wants to be alone, he doesn’t want Anna, he certainly doesn’t feel he needs Anna. He just wants to continue as he is with no conflicts.
What He needs: What he doesn’t realizes is he needs Anna, and Anna definetely needs him. He needs someone to pull him out of his shell and show him how to be himself again, even if it requires some tough love.

Likes: thunderstorms, the outdoors, video games, well written books, animals
Dislikes: being lied to, sappy movies, Oliver, the fact that Oliver killed his cat, snow
Relationship Status: Single
TiMER Status: Not Ticking
Sexuality*: Openly Straight
Bio: Xander Jensen is a man of many words, at least in his mind. Originally born in the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland, he grew up on the water with his father, and working in the small book shop that his mother owned. Unlike most young boys, he was content with spending the day out on the water on one of his father’s sailboats with a new book he managed to sneak away from the shop with. Instead of adventures through the woods or a game of kickball, he favored delving into a new story and learning the lives of the many complex characters. He was never one to be vocal, only speaking up when he truly needed something, or if he felt someone needed his guidance. He was self-sufficient, much to his parents surprise. He grew to love people watching, piecing together their personalities slowly until he was sure if they were trustworthy or not. Most often, he decided they weren’t worth wasting his time. The only people he ever really opened up fully to were his parents, but there was also Abigail.
Abby McGillan, the one person he ever spoke his mind to. His freshmen year of highschool, his mother urged him into the school paper, insisting he needed an outlet for the words that were crammed into his head. If he wasn’t going to talk, he was going to write. Abby was the paper’s photographer, a transfer from a private school the next town over. She was almost as quiet as he was, but something about her pulled him in, made him feel comfortable. Slowly but surely, they fell for each other, just like all the cheesy novels he’d forced himself to read and believe would never happen to him. He didn’t want to believe it, but he’d fallen for her hard. Things were going amazing; for the first time ever he felt comfortable talking to someone about his thoughts and he actually found enjoyment in making conversation. He came to love photography, just as he came to love everything about her. He was completely lost in her, and as their relationship progressed, he became more social and more outgoing, finally becoming more comfortable with people. Little did he know that Abby was falling into new troubles, her parents separating brought on too much for her and with Xander swept up in his new friends, she got to the point where she was tired of everything. She gave up, threw in the towel and over dosed. The one person he ever truly felt anything for was gone.
His family picked up and moved, hoping that getting away from the Bay would help him get closure. The chose Greenville after careful research, thinking that maybe if they could convince him to get a timer, he’d realize that there were others out there than Abby. He reluctantly got one, too miserable to protest. He lives in a secret fear of his blank timer. He’s petrified of the say it starts ticking, even more so of the day it goes off. He let himself love once, and he got hurt, so what’s to say that it won’t just happen again.
What he wants: Xander wants time to cope and get over the fact that Abby really isn’t coming back. He’s convinced that she was the only one that he would ever love, and that if she had been alive when he got his timer, it finally would have started ticking. He’s struggling to move on, and can’t grasp the idea of loving someone else. In his eyes, and head, he’s already had and lost his perfect match. In his heart he knows that she must still be out there, but he can’t bring himself to forget his past even so.
What he needs: Xander needs someone to give him the final shove to get over Abby. He’s drowning in the constant pity from his family and friends, he needs someone who doesn’t feel bad for him. He needs someone who’s forceful enough to make him forget enough to love again. Once Xander is shown that someone else might love him, he’ll start to open up to loving them in return.

"I had the notion that you’d make me change my ways, my bad habits would be gone in a matter of days."
Name: Zachary “Zak” Flinchum
Occupation: Student, Mob Grunt
Hobbies: Soccer, Chorus, Dance
Likes: Drugs, shopping, drinking
Dislikes: Dogs, boring people, loneliness
Relationship Status: Dating Elisa Munreno
TiMER Status: Matched
Sexuality*: Openly Straight
Bio: Zachary had never had the easy life; coming from the lower end of Albuquerque, New Mexico he had come to be used to the crime and outbreaks of the big city. Zak never knew a life where he wasn’t sneaking into markets and snatching things up for his 3 younger siblings, taking it upon himself to take care of them after his mother passed away four years earlier and their father was either working or too drunk to care.
The want to steal slowly became a dire need, the things he was taking slowly going from apples from the old woman across the street to fully roasted turkeys from the butcher shop. The adrenaline he felt as he got away with such trials gave Zak hope, and made him feel empowered once more. He could do anything, he could get away with it all.
But, one day Zak stole from the wrong people, at the wrong time. When an anonymous force picked up on how good of a thief Zachary was they gave him a job, steal documents from the TiMER industry. Zachary immediately declined, knowing he couldn’t take care of his family from across the country and the job terrifying him to the core. In turn he was given an option, take the job or go to prison.
The option was obvious at that point, Zachary heading home and packing all of the things he had, after promise his family would be taken care of. Little did he know, as he stepped into the car, that they really were being taken care of. The sound of the ringing bullets still echo in his head to this day.
When he arrived in the small town of Greenville, he demanded that he know what was going on, only to find out he had found himself tied in with the biggest underground mafia known since “Al” Capone’s days. All of the “small” mobs across the country, were really one large force, one that was taking control of the country.
Given the option of life and death the choice once again appeared obvious. Zachary was given three jobs that day. One, take care of his family. Two, help get the documents, and three, blend in.
Zak did just that, befriending the three Fowler children, to some extent, while some seemed to resent him more than others, grow closer to the Morgan family. and do everything a normal teenager did. He drank, partied, messed around, and had the time of his life, trying to ignore all of the troubles he had gotten himself into, all he had to do was forget.
That became more difficult as he was appointed a TiMER, plans being made to rig the “game” to match him with the Morgan daughter and get him further into the goal. Before these plans could be completed, they were completely ruined. A young girl from a house away from his “Grandmother’s” home made all of the plans go to hell. The moment he heard those melodic tones from his wrist, is the moment he knew it was over.
Surprisingly, he was reassured of his spot in life, which was to be kept that way as long as he kept the operation a secret and didn’t let the girl screw things up anymore than she already had.
Elisa was convinced that she could change Zachary, though he had not interest in being changed, constantly trying to make him the Ken doll she had always dreamed of having. Slowly, Zachary fell into her hold, giving up everything that was important to him, even letting his tasks for the project slide on a few days. Soon, everything that made Zachary, Zachary was at the wayside, lost somewhere with what soul he had left. He was everything that Elisa wanted, but nothing he wanted for himself.
Now, Zachary is risking his life for their relationship, not knowing how much longer he can keep putting off his work so she can be happy. He knows he has to leave her, he knows he can’t stay with her and her Bobsey Twin ways, but he is afraid. He really does care for her, he just can’t go on not being himself.
What He Wants: Zachary wants Elisa, he wants her to be happy and have everything he knows she was deprived of after her parents died. He wants her to realize that he needs to be himself and he wants to do that and still be there for her. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.
What He Needs: Zachary needs freedom, he needs to let Elisa go and stop letting her drag him down. He needs someone who will give him that freedom, and stop worrying about how Elisa feels. If he can’t do this he will end up leaving her either way, he just needs to decide which one is better.

Dislikes: Spiders, Meat, Animal Cruelty, People with a bad sense of humor
Relationship Status: Single
TiMER Status: N/A
Sexuality*: Openly Straight
Bio: Berkley has always been a city girl, trapped in small towns. She’s never been able to show her true potential, or what she can actually offer. She grew up on a cattle ranch in Texas, her family putting her and her younger brother to work at a young age much like most other ranch families. Berkley never argued, keeping her mouth shut while working aside from when she would sing quiet tunes to herself. While working on the ranch she developed a love for the horses, sneaking away from her duties and hiding out in the stalls with notebooks upon notebooks that she kept her most private thoughts in. Soon her thoughts turned to poetry. She found herself leaving her brother to her chores, favoring taking a horse out for a ride on the land, or finding her usual refuge in a stall to scribble down a new poem. Her parents took notice of course, but they saw potential in her riding, so they let it slide and allowed her to progress as she got older, finding a natural feeling in the saddle. She picked up barrel racing, pleasing her parents and for once, pleasing herself also. For once it seemed everything was going well for her, she’d found outlets for her yearning to live elsewhere, and she was getting along with her family for once. She moved up in rankings, traveling all over the state to compete, toting behind her a trail of country boys that she never found good enough to meet her standards.
After an injury that pulled her out of the national competition, her parents decided she needed a change. Unlike most, Berkley welcomed the change with open arms, gladly packing her bags and allowing herself to be shipped off to Greenville to stay with her widowed aunt. Greenville was as close to the city as she’d ever been and she was overjoyed. Her confident composure and unique sense of style that was funded by her family’s business attracted the attention of none other than miss Georgia Skyes and although she wasn’t the type that Berkley normally befriended, she found herself growing close to her and slowly joining her small group of friends. She adapted to their habits, which weren’t much different than her own. She was comfortable with them, yet so different. She wasn’t nearly as shallow, and despite having beauty and intelligence she was much more humble and didn’t brag. Out of all of them, she brought kindness and sincerity to the close knit circle. It takes a special kind of person to handle Georgia, but somehow Berkley could, and she was even able to serve her a small dose of reality every now and then.
After seeing cattle slaughtered her entire childhood, she decided against eating meat, developing a deep hatred toward harming animals in any way. She became a vegan, making a pact to herself to never harm an animal. She has strict beliefs that she stands close to and defends wholeheartedly, but she also knows how to have a good time. She’s a party girl at heart, and you’ll find her commonly with a drink in hand and not a care in the world. If you can look past her foul mouth and her protective nature over her poetry books, you might just be able to take the southern belle’s heart forever.
She has no timer, decided that if she’s meant to find love it’ll happen without a stupid device. She has decided that she’ll know exactly when she finds the one, and that she needs no timer chime to tell her. She’s living her life, and going with the flow of things, and right now she doesn’t want anything more than that. Except maybe a certain Jeremy Craumer, the one boy who actually caught her eye. She knows she’s caught his too, but she’s enjoying a bit of playing hard to get.
What she wants: She wants to just live life, and what’s meant to happen, happen. She doesn’t want any deep commitment based on a little number on her wrist, she wants love to find her. She’s set on letting her match find her, just like its meant to. When its the right time for her to have some kind of significant other, she feels they’ll come into her life. Until then, she just wants to have fun.
What she needs: Somewhere subconsciously she knows that she needs to start being more serious about her life, and what she wants to do. For Berkley everything has always been temporary, and its never bothered her at all. She doesn’t know it yet, but all of this “i don’t need a relationship” thinking is actually fueled by a fear of commitment and disappointment. She needs someone who will show her a good time, but also show her that if she lets them have responsibility of her and her heart, they’ll take care of it.

Name: Georgia Skyes

Likes: Parties, Being in control, Her parents, Staying fit, Winning
Dislikes: Fast food, Scary movies, Being looked down on, Disappointing her parents

Bio: They say that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but with Georgia, what you see is exactly what you get. The Skye family is known well around the town, most likely because they’re one of the three families that funds the TiMER franchise. Without the Skyes’ money, the company would crash and burn; Georgia, along with her parents, are not shy to flaunt the fact that they keep it running either. Georgia is as shallow as a baby pool, but you’d probably never guess that she’s also extremely intelligent. She’s daddy’s little princess, and in most cases, what Georgia wants is what she gets. She’s a strong willed girl, and if you deny her, you best be up for a good fight.
With obvious beauty, intelligence and money under her belt, what more could she need? Well, if you ask her parents they’ll tell you that she needs Jackson Fenty. The Skye and Fenty family have been close business colleagues for as long as anyone can remember, and when the Fenty family relocated to Greenville in order to invest in the TiMER company, an idea was born. With both families having strong ruling in the company, they could easily rig their children’s timers to put them together, thus starting a power couple that could eventually take over the company if all went as planned. Georgia has always tried her hardest to live up to her parent’s expectations, so she worked to get to know Jackson, hoping maybe she’d be able to grow to like him enough to deal with him. Much to her parents’ dismay, she actually began to hate him, and the type of person he was. Even so, they’re often forced together. No matter how much she argues, this is the one thing she hasn’t gotten her way with, but she hasn’t given up the fight yet.
While she is openly arrogant, there’s something about Georgia that attracts people. She is well aware that she lives a privileged life, and while she flaunts it, she also tries to share her world with others. It could be out of a sense of pity perhaps, but all the same she makes attempts to be nice. She’s an all around perky person, but then again you would be too if everything came to you as easily as it does to Georgia. She has nothing to really hide, if she’s upset you’ll know, and vice versa. At least that’s what she wants you to think.
What She Wants: In Georgia’s mind, her ideal match would be someone who can pamper her just as well as her parents do. She wants someone who is intelligent, but not to the extent that they can make her feel stupid. She must be in control at all times, so while they have to be smart, they can’t be too smart. She wants someone that she can easily make happy without too much work, but someone who will also make her feel as if she is needed.
What She Needs: She needs someone that can give her a healthy dose of reality. She doesn’t need babied anymore, she needs someone to treat her like the intelligent girl that she is. She needs healthy competition in her life that can keep her thriving to better herself, rather than her current thought that she is the human embodiment of perfection. She needs someone to pull her head out of the clouds and give her something to work for. She needs to be loved, not just a trophy.

"Like, I mean, I’m only seventeen and the perfect couple is only in a dream. Right now I’m pretty much away for this relationship. I think we should wait for this. I mean later we could try things out, but not right now. Ain’t gonna tie me down."

Bio: Greenville should have been better prepared for the chaos that is Jackson Fenty. His family, originally from Manchester, England relocated when he was fourteen, and he didn’t argue in the slightest. In Manchester, Jackson was taunted and teased over his appearance. Growing up he’d been forced into braces and glasses from his parents, convincing him that he had to do it in order to be perfect in the future in order to live up to the family name. He was constantly picked on and never felt like he fit in. When he got news of the relocation he was thrilled, determined to take matters into his own hands and make a new name for himself.
He made sure his braces were gone before moving, and ordered contacts to be immediately shipped to their new home. As soon as they arrived, he put his plans to action. He got a job in a popular place, quickly switching his attitude to fit in with the right people. He ditched his books, started forgetting the rules, and altogether changed his entire personality. He hadn’t meant to get lost in the new him, he had tried to stay connected to some sort of reality, but he quickly got caught up in the parties and attention from girls.
There was one girl, that he didn’t want attention from, and that was Georgia Skyes. Because he was on this new power trip, he wanted nothing that his parents tried to force on him. Sure, his timer had indicated that she was the one for him, but he’d never been a firm believer in fate, so as usual he blew it off. He didn’t need someone who was going to hold him back from his new found freedom and popularity. He had two best friends, and that was all he needed. Oliver understood him in some ways, and Charlie made him feel needed, so in his mind he didn’t need anyone else to be close with in any manner. Between his general unhappiness with the idea of commitment and love of rebelling against his parents wishes, his relationship with Georgia was destined for failure. Even so, he has fun toying with her a bit, getting a rise out of her every now and then with his antics. He knows very well that she hates him, and he would never let anyone know that it bothers him slightly. No, he doesn’t want to be with her, but the thought of being that boy from before makes him thrive to be liked by all. He lives every day with no worries, and no cares. He goes on instinct, and doesn’t think very often. Someday it’ll all catch up to him, but for now he’s not concerned with that.
What he wants: Jackson doesn’t need a girl to be happy, or at least not a girl for more than a night or two. He’s fallen into the stereotypical “party boy” mindset. He lives for the parties, and the one night stands. He wants to stay in the place he is, he doesn’t want someone who’s going to limit him or drag him down. He hasn’t even considered the thought of a steady girlfriend, heart set on the thrill of the chase, but growing bored all the same after he’s won the game yet again. He knows that he’s a charmer, and he feels it would be a shame to waste that while he’s still young.
What he needs: Jackson is in dire need of someone knock some sense into him, metaphorically or maybe even literally. If a girl was able to bring him down of his high horse, he might be able to realize that his actions aren’t doing anything good for him as of now, and that eventually he’ll crash and burn. He needs someone to show him that reputation isn’t everything, and that it’s alright to let down the facade every now and then.

Bio: Most people live in the shadows of their family name, or maybe their over achieving siblings, but that was never Charlie, he was stuck in the shadow of his closest friends. It hadn’t always been that way, he’d had the average childhood that anyone growing up in Greenville had. His parents were fairly well off, a safety net of savings to comfort any blows the economy threw at them. He was a happy child, the center of attention if he tried hard enough. He was always happy, a dopey grin pulling at his cheeks almost always. As he grew up, his sole purpose became being a god example for his younger sister; he was determined to make sure that not only were his parents proud of them, but also to break the stereotypical mold of brother and sister. He didn’t want to be the tormenting older sibling who made their younger counterpart’s life hell. He wanted her to see the good in life, just like he did. Only the good things would soon slip away, replaced by all of Charlie’s nightmares brought to life.
A car accident took her, and although she was killed on impact, it was hard for Charlie to believe that she didn’t suffer. If he was suffering this much, then she had to have suffered too. They’d always been on similar wave-lengths despite the age difference. Without his sister, he had to reason to live. Or at least that’s what he thought. His parents tried everything, putting him through therapist after therapist, but none of them did any good. Nothing anyone tried could recreate that grin that he once wore. He was plagued by constant knots of dread in his stomach and incessant, splitting headaches from crying. He lost himself in the sadness, and fell through into the darkness that most would diagnose as depression. Like everything else, he denied it of course, insisting that he was fine. Everyone knew that things weren’t fine though, and even Charlie was interested in when he would break.
At the time, the two class renowned douchebags appeared to be angels clad in lacrosse uniforms. They were the ray of light in the storm clouds. He found himself the new item of interest of Oliver Locke and Jackson Fenty, two of Greenville’s most popular boys. He wasn’t sure why they continually made attempts to talk to him, he assumed it was pity, but even after rejecting multiple invitations to “chill”, they never stopped trying. Maybe, just maybe they could bring back the old Charlie. He gave in, condescended to their level of intelligence and embraced their attitudes. He knew he could fit in with them, but that wasn’t what they wanted from them and it was boldly obvious to anyone. They wanted to add a more quiet member to their trio, someone who was thoughtful and could easily process the problems they worked themselves in to. He’d never been one to try to fit the mold of other’s desires, but he could try. He did as they requested, joining the lacrosse team and repressing his athletic abilities to make them appear superior. He kept his opinions to himself, and acted as if he didn’t enjoy the parties that he “reluctantly” attended with them. No one knew how much he benefited from the friendship, and it didn’t help that he had grown accustomed to lying each and every time someone inquired why he was even friends with them.
Through everything, Charlie has grown into a brilliant actor, deserving of all the awards even. Perhaps it’s easy to contain your thoughts when no one cares for your opinion. It’s only so long before Charlie grows sick of being the quiet one. Someday the forced alcohol is going to get the best of him and he’s going to spill everything that he worked to hide.
What he wants: Charlie is lost as to what he truthfully wants. He’s stuck between the desire to remain in the close knit friendship that brings him closer and closer to forgetting his sister, and being his true self, allowing his sadness to seep back into his mind. Does he really want to continue acting like he’s the soft spoken, innocent guy that everyone is ignorant enough to think he is. If he drops the act, then he might as well be sacrificing the life he’d earned for himself. If he’s not quiet, would his friends still like him? Would they still want to be around him if he’s not the person they wanted him to be?
What he needs: Charlie needs someone to be an example for, and that’s the only reason he’s stuck around the guys for so long. He knows very well that he is their conscience, there to remind them that they need to dial it down every now and then. He lives to feel needed, and if he doesn’t feel that way then he has nothing. Jackson and Oliver have filled the void of his lost sister, and without them he is left back at square one, with nothing. He needs that something to hold onto, so he’s willing to sacrifice his true feelings for that.

Bio: Growing up showered in compliments can really give someone a big ego, but if those closest to you are even the slightest bit displeased, all of that means nothing. Growing up alongside her sister and brother, it was always a competition for her parent’s attention, and most of the time, Hazel won. She was quick to pick up on what her father expected of her, as well as her mother. At a young age, she began crafting herself into exactly what she believed would make them proud. For some time she hated who she’d made herself be; she would sit quietly in her room and cry over all the people she hurt in attempts to acquire the fiery attitude of the Fowler family. None of that mattered, they were just little people in the way of her goal. They held her back, and Hazel Fowler is not held back. As she got older, her skin grew thicker, the harsh words thrown at her by peers didn’t phase her, answered instead by a witty sneer. Everything she did was in attempts to gain her parent’s approval, but it never seemed to be enough. No matter what she did, she could always do better. She thought she was doing her best, but if her parents believed there was room for improvement then once again, she must have been wrong. She was always wrong according to everyone else. She was hated by some, loved by most, but also slightly feared. She wasn’t the type you wanted to make angry; getting on her bad side was like taking a one way pass to hell for the rest of your schooling career. She was a good girl, with good intentions in everything she did, but somehow she always wound up lost along the way.
You can’t blame a girl for wanting to impress her parents, but sometimes she took it too far. She was clever and sly, easily charming herself into places and plotting ways to make herself look better than Madeline and Eric. She was lost in the need to feel approval. It wasn’t enough from her classmates, not even from her best friends. She knew that she was disliked by her brother, he had lost all respect for her when she snitched on his habits of sneaking out. She’d sacrificed that relationship to get closer to her parents. In the end, it had failed yet again. She was told that a well behaved lady kept her nose out of other’s business. That had always been a bad habit for Hazel, curiosity drove her to do things that the Fowler family would consider sinful. Curiosity is what brought her to follow Madeline the day she crept into their father’s study, her own silent wonderings finally answered. She’d always knew her sister was a misfit, but she hadn’t had confirmation until that day. Upon finding out Madeline was adopted, she was all but infuriated with the fact that she was even in the family. She was unnecessary competition for attention, they had her, why did they need another daughter? Once again, she was left feeling inferior and not good enough. As Madeline’s social status rose, Hazel’s confidence slowly decreased. Madeline made it look so easy, she received daily praise from their parents, whereas Hazel was lucky to get a homework question in or a reminder about a family party. Her worst nightmares were coming true, she was being replaced. She didn’t know where to turn; without her brother, her sister or her parents, who did she have? Georgia had dropped her on her ass when Madeline rose into power, so now she was truly alone. Suddenly all the years of mistreating others to climb the social ladder were catching up to her.
She’d done every single thing to try to make her parents believe she was good enough, but it never happened. She had one, last ditch effort. Oliver Locke. After some desperate convincing and some other methods of persuasion, she pulled him in close enough to call him her’s. Her parents were overjoyed, pleased that she’d actually found a possible match. That was after all what all of it was for. The Fowlers main goal was to get their children paired off and ready to go out in the world. For once she had done something right, until she decided to surprise him after a swim meet and found him cheating on her. Old habits shattered the act, her temper flaring and leaving her in a physical fight. Her mother was horrified, but her father was silent, pleasure playing in his eyes as he tried to scold her. She knew she’d made him proud, she’d stood up for herself, she’d been strong just like he instructed. Even so, she was quickly disregarded for a matter of Madeline’s, cast off again to her room to mind her own. The one thing that did come out of her break up with Oliver, was a timer. Her mother decided it was time for her to find her proper match rather than fool around with “useless” boys who brought her no good.
There was one person who actually gave her the time of day, who was kind enough to slide down the wall next to her in an abandoned corridor one day at school when she lost it. She didn’t know why, after all the years of taunting him for his books and stories, why would he be anything but rude to her? Xander became her only friend, and despite his quiet manner she found herself comfortable in his company and not nearly as lonely. The idea of having someone to go to was enough for her, even if he rarely spoke back. She was invisible to her family, her old friends and to everyone, but if at least one person saw her, she could make it through.
Her desire to please her parents was fleeting, but she still worked for it, more to please herself now than them. She was out for a run one day, not paying any mind to anything but the foliage around her as the trees changed color for the impending autumn season. Between the music blaring in her ears, her attention drawn to the trees, and her clouded mind, she didn’t realize someone was running toward her, and evidently he didn’t realize either. A collision left them both on the ground, but Hazel’s attention was drawn elsewhere. A quiet beep was chiming in harmony with another and as she looked to her wrist she found that her timer had timed out. She’d ran head on into her perfect match. Chad Ericson, a face she’d never seen before, a name she’d never heard. This was who she was meant to be with. This would finally please her parents, this would mean that she might finally receive their acceptance and if she was lucky, love. This was meant to happen, and she would do any and everything to keep him as hers.
What she wants: She wants everything to go perfectly with Chad, and as far as she knows they are. With a gorgeous rock on her ring finger to show everyone exactly how well things are going, she’s back on her high horse. All the worries and insecurities shed from her shoulders when her mother squealed with joy over her matched timer. She wants her parents approval, and she believes she has it. She wants Chad to be true to her, and for him to love her, just as she is growing to love him. Now that her social status has grown to normal, she’s regained her friends, along with her best friend Zachary. What else could she possibly want?
What she needs: She needs to think of herself before her parents for once. Hazel needs to realize that she’s never going to get the love that she feels she should have from her parents and that all the fake personality and fake friends are going to do her no good. She needs to put herself first and stop worrying about other people’s opinions. She needs to overcome the idea that she has to be perfect and what her parents want. She needs to be Hazel, not the stereotypical Fowler woman.
